Holy Cross Names Galindo Principal

(San Antonio, Texas) Holy Cross of San Antonio, a Catholic college prep and coed middle and high school, names Mr. Henry L. Galindo as principal.

"Mr. Galindo's background in both public and private education provides our school with dynamic leadership grounded in his deep belief in Catholic education," said Brother Stanley Culotta, C.S.C., M.D., president of Holy Cross. "He comes to Holy Cross at a time when the school is reinvigorating our mission."

"I appreciate the opportunity that Brother Stanley has given me to serve as the principal of Holy Cross of San Antonio," said Mr. Galindo, principal. "I think that there is great enthusiasm here for providing a quality Catholic education, and for making a real difference in the lives of students."

"I look forward to this coming school year and the possibilities of advancing the mission of Holy Cross," said Mr. Galindo.

Mr. Galindo received his Master of Arts degree from Our Lady of the Lake University, 1988; a Driver Education Endorsement from Southwest Texas State University, 1975; his Bachelor of Arts from St. Mary's University, 1972; and graduated from La Salle High School, 1968. His professional background includes serving as the principal of St. Anthony Catholic High School, Harlandale ISD's McCollum High School, and Lubbock ISD's Lauro Cavazos Junior High School. He has held numerous other positions in education which have led to recognitions and awards including the 2010 service award by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, the 2006 Harlandale ISD PTA life membership award, and the middle school principal of the year award for region 17 TASSP.

Holy Cross of San Antonio is an independent Catholic co-educational middle and high school. The Brothers of Holy Cross founded the school in 1957 steeped in tradition and education. Holy Cross serves as the only co-educational college preparatory school centrally located in San Antonio's West side.
