  On Friday night, Holy Cross walked into the Holy Bowl with a 0-2 record and plenty of doubters. They walked out with bragging rights, again.   Holy Cross came up short Friday night in one of San Antonio’s most storied private school rivalries, falling to Antonian by a score of 20-27. The Knights fought to the end, but a handful of key second-half plays from the Apaches proved to be the difference. From the opening kickoff, the game carried the intensity expected from a Holy Cross - Antonian matchup. The Apaches started the night scoring first on a 5-yard touchdown to go up 6-0.   The Holy Cross Knights are coming off their best season in school history, finishing 2024 at 13-1 overall and 5-0 in district play. Along the way, they notched several statement wins — a dominant Week 1 victory over Antonian (51-21), a Holy Bowl classic against Central Catholic (35-17), and a definitive upset over defending Division IV state champion Dallas First Baptist Academy (34-14).
