FORMER MAYOR GARZA VISITS HOLY CROSS

FOR A 9/11 HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE

(San Antonio, Texas) Former Mayor Ed Garza and SAISD Board member visited students at Holy Cross of San Antonio on Thurs., Sept. 15 to discuss the 9/11 attacks on the United States in 2001. He served as Mayor of the City of San Antonio when it happened.

Mrs. Patricia Yznaga's Journalism class held a question and answer session with Mayor Garza to discuss what it was like for him during the 9/11 experience in 2001.  Mayor Garza shared his historical account of the events that unfolded on 9/11 and their impact not only in New York and Washington, D.C. but throughout the nation.

His visit to Holy Cross was imitated and coordinated by the journalism students who wanted to learn more about this historical moment in the United States.

The students participated in a meaningful dialogue with Mayor Garza.
